Old+New Card and Florida Card

Card to say “you and me = amazing”

Shannon challenged the OWH‘ers to use tools and items we hadn’t touched in a long while, so I decided to mix something old with something new!

The Old: I received a set of Autumn Leaves “Stamped and Coded”  barcode stamps in a mystery grab box a couple of years ago and hadn’t ever used them!

The New: This past Friday I went to a crop night and the instructor let me cut a few things on her Cricut and I cut out a “you&me” sentiment thinking it would be cute for a card.

Put the two together and Ta-DA!

Easy card with Don Juan cricut cartridge and Autumn Leaves barcode stamp

Any other ideas for barcode stamps?

Stamp: “amazing” barcode clear stamp (Stamped and coded by Katie Pertiet, Autumn Leaves)

Other: “you&me” cutout (Thanks to Cricut’s Don Juan cartridge I believe), Onyx Black Versafine Ink

A Taste of Florida:

I have used this palm tree stamp before, so I was hoping to use a different stamp for Kathryn’s OWH challenge to make a card that represents our home state, but of course the clear stamp that I wanted to use went missing when I wanted to use it.  It sure can be easy to lose something that is clear and sticky:p  It’s a good reminder that having a loose clear stamp is not a good idea – even to “set it aside to use soon” – it’s better to let it live on its storage sheet or take it off and immediately use it on a block.

So anyways, instead, to represent the sunny and often rainy state of Florida where I currently live, I used a stamped image of a palm tree that I already had and used masculine colors for the layers.

Still hope my other stamp pops up sometime!  I’m guessing it just stuck itself to something.

Stamps: Palm Tree (All Night Media), Alphabet Letters (Martha Stewart)

Other: Vintage Sepia Versafine Archival Ink, Art Performance Dual Brush Markers, Roam Mat Pad (K&Company), blue paper (making memories)

Thanks for taking a look!

Thanks for playing along with our neglected craft tool challenge. I love that sentiment. That cartridge has been on my wish list for a long time. Those are cute barcode stamps, too!

Thanks for playing along with the home state challenge. I definitely feel like I’m in FL when I see palm trees! I think it’s great that you chose masculine colors to accent the image since our heroes so often ask for masculine cards.
