Watermelon “I Love Your Smile” Card with Chevrons

I have been playing around with this card for awhile now. . .playing around with how many watermelon slices to use and where to place them. . .the colors of the layers . . . then settling on one watermelon slice within a heart in a place I think works well with the sentiment.  As an added touch, I used some added glossy accents on the “rind” to make it shiny.

I hope I didn’t over-think it!  Here it is:

Thanks to Our Daily Bread Designs for sponsoring the February OWH challenge and provide shipping funds to Operation Write Home!

    Mindy,

I don’t think you over thought the card at all. I like the color combination of the black, white and red.
Thank you for joining the ODBD challenge at Operation Write Home.
